The plastic bag is an icon of convinience culture, and the single most consumer item on Earth, numbering in trillions. Every year wide around the world, people throw away illimitable number of plastic bags after they been used to transport shopings home. Only one percent of plastic bags are recicled worldwide and the rest can persist for centuries. The problem with plastic bags is not just where they and up, it's that they never seem to end. For that, only that you can do about this huge problem, is to challenge yourself and others ! Trie to go at least one week without accumulating any new plastic bag. Refuse it at your store ! Say NO !
